In the Kursk region, Ukrainian forces have captured a significant number of Russian soldiers, including regular troops and Chechen fighters known as Kadyrovites from the Akhmat unit led by Ramzan Kadyrov. Reports indicate that over 1,000 Russian soldiers have surrendered during the Ukrainian offensive. Among those captured are conscripts and regular units that were redeployed to stabilize the situation in Kursk. The Ukrainian 225th Assault Battalion and 80th Air Assault Brigade are actively participating in the operation. The surrendering soldiers include members of the Russian Armed Forces and FSB officers. Notably, a Russian conscript named Privat Anton surrendered to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the coordinates of Kadyrovites in the area. The Ukrainian forces are reportedly adhering to strict orders not to harm civilians or prisoners.
