VisitUkrainian Drone Strikes Hit Morozovsk Airbase and Oil Depots in Rostov
Aug 3, 2024, 09:56 AM
Ukrainian forces successfully conducted a series of drone strikes on Russian targets, including the Morozovsk Airbase in the Rostov region. The attack on the airbase resulted in massive secondary explosions, likely involving aviation fuel, explosives, and rocket motors. The Morozovsk Airbase, home to the 559th Bomber Aviation Regiment, which houses Su-34 bombers, suffered significant damage, including the destruction of ammunition depots where guided aerial bombs were stored. Additionally, the strikes targeted oil depots and fuel storage facilities in the Rostov, Belgorod, and Kursk regions, causing extensive fires and damage. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the hits on these strategic locations. The Millerovo airfield and the Atlas plant in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky were also attacked. Satellite imagery and local reports corroborate the extensive damage caused by the attacks.
