A Ukrainian drone strike targeted a large Russian ammunition depot in the Voronezh region early on July 7, 2024. The attack, which involved drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), resulted in a significant fire and secondary explosions. The depot, located in the village of Sergeevka, stored various types of ammunition, including surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles, tank and artillery shells, and firearm ammunition, covering an area of 9,000 square meters. Following the attack, local authorities declared a state of emergency in parts of the Voronezh region, including the Podgorensky district, and began evacuating residents. The incident has led to heightened tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
