VisitUkraine Uses U.S. Weapons to Strike Inside Russia with Biden's Approval, Says Western Official
Jun 5, 2024, 04:07 PM
Ukraine has received approval from President Joe Biden to use U.S.-supplied weapons to strike targets inside Russia, according to a Western official cited by the Associated Press. This decision comes amid pressure from international partners and national security aides. Ukraine has already begun attacking Russia with NATO missiles near Belgorod, although the Russian army has managed to intercept them. Additionally, France has given Ukraine permission to use Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles for strikes on airfields in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. However, Belgium has announced that it will not allow Ukraine to strike targets in Russia with the 30 F-16s it plans to send.
