VisitUkraine to Receive First Three Mirage 2000-5F Jets by January 20, 2025
Jan 4, 2025, 01:23 AM
Ukraine is set to receive its first batch of French Mirage 2000-5F multirole fighter jets by January 20, 2025. The initial delivery is expected to include three aircraft, which will be operated by the Ukrainian Air Force's 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade. These jets, sourced from the French Air and Space Force, have been upgraded to carry SCALP/Storm Shadow cruise missiles and are intended to replace part of Ukraine's aging Su-24 fleet. Ukrainian pilots and ground personnel have reportedly completed a six-month training program in France to operate and maintain the aircraft. Some sources suggest the jets are already in Ukraine and are currently being used for training flights. France plans to supply a total of 10 Mirage 2000-5Fs to Ukraine, along with a full support package, marking a continued commitment to bolster Ukraine's military capabilities amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
