Ukraine Thwarts Russian Plot to Kill Zelensky on Putin's Inauguration Day

Ukrainian counterintelligence has successfully thwarted a Russian plot to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelensky and other high-ranking officials. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that two Ukrainian colonels, who were part of the State Protection Service and recruited by Russia's FSB, were arrested. These officials, including Zelensky's own guards, planned to use a missile strike and drone attacks in an intricate scheme to carry out the assassination. The plot was revealed on the day of Vladimir Putin's inauguration for a new term.
