Ukraine Sinks Russian Kilo-class Submarine B-237, Damages S-400 in Sevastopol Strike

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have claimed responsibility for sinking the Russian Kilo-class submarine B-237 Rostov-on-Don and damaging the S-400 Triumph surface-to-air missile system in a predawn attack on Sevastopol, Crimea. The submarine, which was previously damaged on September 13, 2023, by a Storm Shadow missile, had been repaired and tested in the Sevastopol harbor before being targeted again. Satellite imagery supports the claim, showing damage at the ship repair bay in Sevastopol. The attack marks a significant blow to Russian naval capabilities in the Black Sea, including the destruction of four launchers of the S-400 system.
