Ukrainian drones attacked the Borisoglebsk military airfield in Russia's Voronezh region, approximately 340 kilometers from Ukraine, overnight on October 3. The drones, operated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), targeted warehouses storing KAB bombs, parking areas for SU-34 and SU-35 aircraft, and aviation fuel storage facilities. Explosions and fires were reported at the airfield, with NASA's Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) confirming multiple fire spots at the site. Russian air defense activity was reported during the attack, and locals noted numerous drone flights and explosions. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
