The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified the Rome Statute, marking a significant step in the country's legal alignment with international standards. The ratification received 281 affirmative votes in the Ukrainian Parliament. This move allows Ukraine to fully join the International Criminal Court (ICC) and is also a requirement for Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
