Aug 3, 2024, 10:30 PM
Kirill Budanov, head of the Ukrainian military intelligence service, has stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for potential long-range strikes and the destruction of the Crimean Bridge. The bridge, which has been heavily damaged by Ukrainian strikes in October 2022 and July 2023, could be destroyed in the coming months. Budanov emphasized the need for a comprehensive solution, indicating that the work is ongoing. Russia has taken steps to further defend the structure. Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, suggested that these threats might be part of the US election campaign, aiming to attract more Western support.
