VisitUkraine Plans 30K Deep-Strike Drones, AI-Powered Robots for 2025 Warfare
Dec 2, 2024, 02:18 PM
Ukraine is set to significantly enhance its military capabilities with advanced technology in 2025, focusing on drones and robotic ground vehicles. The country has already delivered 1.3 million out of 1.6 million drones purchased this year, with plans to deploy tens of thousands of unmanned robotic ground vehicles next year to support infantry in the trenches, shuttle ammunition and supplies, and evacuate wounded soldiers. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, alongside German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, inspected smart drones co-produced by Ukraine and Germany, highlighting the importance of such cooperative weapon production. These drones feature intelligent components and AI-powered targeting systems, showcasing a technological edge in warfare. Additionally, Ukraine aims to produce 30,000 deep-strike drones, with expectations of the first combat use cases of AI-powered swarm drones.
