VisitUkraine Launches December 18 Missile Attack on Rostov Plant, Russia Claims All ATACMS and Three Storm Shadows Intercepted
Dec 20, 2024, 11:04 AM
On December 18, 2024, Ukraine launched a missile strike on the Kamensky Combine, a chemical plant in Russia's Rostov region, using six U.S.-made ATACMS missiles and four British Storm Shadow missiles. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, all six ATACMS were intercepted, along with three of the four Storm Shadow missiles. However, one Storm Shadow missile reportedly deflected from its target and caused damage to a building on the site. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that it would respond to the attack, which was aimed at a facility known for producing rocket fuel for military use. In retaliation, Russia has since targeted Ukraine's Secret Service control room and other military sites in Kyiv. The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for further military actions.
