VisitUkraine Launches Day #64 Offensive Toward Bolshoye Soldatskoye in Kursk Region
Jan 5, 2025, 08:48 AM
Ukrainian forces have reportedly launched a new offensive operation in Russia's Kursk region, according to multiple Russian military bloggers and media outlets. The offensive is said to involve advances near the village of Velyke Soldatske and the Berdyn farm along the 38K-004 highway, as well as attacks on Russian positions in the village of Pushkarne. Reports also indicate Ukrainian troops have advanced from the Sudzha district towards Bolshoye Soldatskoye using armored vehicles, with electronic warfare (EW) measures effectively disrupting Russian UAVs. Ukrainian units reportedly cleared mines in the area overnight to facilitate the operation. Claims suggest progress, with some settlements reportedly liberated, and operations occurring on Day #64 of the conflict in the region. There are also indications that Ukrainian forces may strike from the Sumy region. Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, commented, "Kursk region, good news — Russia is getting what it deserves." However, there has been no official confirmation from Ukrainian or Russian authorities about the details of the offensive.
