The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine has launched an investigation into the alleged execution of four National Guard soldiers by Russian forces near Selydove, Donetsk region, on October 6, 2024. The soldiers were captured during a Russian assault at a captured position, and the Russian military reportedly recorded the interrogation of the wounded unarmed POWs before executing them. The killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions.
