Oct 31, 2024, 09:30 AM
Ukraine's government has identified three North Korean generals accompanying thousands of Korean People's Army troops deployed to Russia to support Moscow's war in Ukraine. The generals named are Kim Yong Bok, head of special forces; Ri Chang Ho, head of a spy agency; and Sin Kum Cheol, head of the Main Operational Directorate. Ukraine's UN envoy and Permanent Representative to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, highlighted that North Korea has sent at least 500 officers and around 12,000 DPRK soldiers who are training at five training grounds of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. Kyslytsya also questioned how the Pyongyang regime plans to utilize officers who survive the war and gain modern warfare experience.
