Ukraine has launched up to 12 British-made Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles against military targets inside Russia's Kursk region for the first time, according to reports citing Western officials. The missiles were reportedly fired at targets in the Kursk region, with remains found in the town of Maryino. This marks an escalation in Ukraine's military capabilities, following its first use of US-supplied ATACMS missiles against Russian forces a day earlier. President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that such weapons are critical to the conflict. The Storm Shadow missiles, co-developed by the UK and France, have a range of over 250 kilometers and are capable of precision strikes.
