The Ukrainian Armed Forces, led by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, have made significant advances in Russia's Kursk region, now controlling 1,294 square kilometers, equivalent to nearly 500 square miles. This area includes around 100 settlements, including the town of Sudzha, highlighting the strategic gains made by Ukrainian forces. During a press conference, Syrskyi reported that 594 Russian soldiers have been captured as part of the operation. The Russian military has responded by deploying 30,000 troops to the Kursk region in an effort to counter the Ukrainian incursion.
