South Korea's National Intelligence Service confirmed that on December 26, Ukrainian special forces captured a wounded North Korean soldier fighting alongside Russian troops in Russia's Kursk Oblast. This marks the first reported instance of a North Korean combatant being detained in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The soldier, who was captured alive, later died from his injuries, according to the intelligence agency.
