Sep 21, 2024, 09:24 PM
In a surprising turn of events, UCLA and LSU are tied 17-17 at halftime in their game at Tiger Stadium. UCLA, which had struggled offensively in their first two games, managed to score 17 points in the first half, their highest point total of the season. The Bruins tied the game with a touchdown pass from Ethan Garbers to Logan Loya with just two seconds remaining in the first half. LSU initially took the lead with a touchdown from Garrett Nussmeier to Zavion Thomas and later regained the lead with a 45-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Parker. However, UCLA responded effectively, converting key third and fourth downs to stay competitive. Both teams have shown strong offensive performances, with LSU accumulating 210 yards and UCLA amassing 206 yards in the first half. UCLA's Sai'vion Jones made a crucial stop early in the game, and the Bruins also benefited from a 47-yard field goal by Bhagnani. UCLA's offensive improvement has been attributed to effective play-calling by Eric Bieniemy.
