VisitUCLA and Harvard Develop AI Models for Accurate 3D Medical Image Analysis
Oct 19, 2024, 04:11 PM
Researchers at UCLA have developed a new AI-powered foundation model that can accurately analyze 3D medical imagery, such as MRIs and CT scans, in a fraction of the time it would take a human expert. This deep learning tool matches expert accuracy while significantly lowering costs. The model aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical diagnoses by reducing the time and effort required to analyze complex medical scans. Additionally, another AI model from Harvard, called CHIEF, achieves 96% accuracy in cancer detection and was trained on 15 million unlabeled images.
