UBS Asset Management has launched its first tokenized investment fund, the UBS USD Money Market Investment Fund (uMINT), in Singapore. The fund is built on Ethereum distributed ledger technology and aims to provide institutional investors with a new avenue for investment. This move makes UBS the first organization to create a tokenized fund on the Ethereum blockchain and on Base. The fund is specifically tailored for users in Singapore and aims to challenge key players in the real-world assets segment, including BlackRock.
