The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), backed and supplied by the UAE, have intensified their siege of El Fasher, severely restricting access to essential supplies and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. Analysts and humanitarian organizations have reported unprecedented large-scale combat operations in the city. The situation has escalated despite US-led talks in Switzerland aimed at resolving the conflict. The Kremlin-funded military contractor used the neighboring Central African Republic (CAR) to facilitate these operations. The siege has led to famine and displacement among the city's residents.
