The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrested several Bangladeshi expatriates for protesting against their home government in various streets across the country, as reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM). The UAE Attorney-General has ordered an immediate investigation and trial for those accused of rioting, disrupting public facilities, and causing property damage. According to state media, 57 Bangladeshi nationals have been handed prison sentences, with three receiving life sentences and 53 others sentenced to 10 years in prison.
