VisitU.S. and Spain Close Kyiv Embassies Amid Warning of November 20 Air Attack
Nov 20, 2024, 07:52 AM
The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has temporarily closed after receiving specific information of a potential significant air attack on November 20. "Out of an abundance of caution, the Embassy will be closed, and Embassy employees are being instructed to shelter in place," the embassy stated. U.S. citizens in Ukraine are urged to be prepared to immediately seek shelter if air alerts are announced. The closure follows Russia's vow to respond after Ukraine reportedly used U.S.-supplied long-range missiles to strike targets within Russian territory for the first time. Spain's Embassy in Kyiv has also closed due to the potential attack.
