VisitU.S. Sanctions Target Artem Yamshchikov, Xiamen Limbach, and Redlepus Vector for Military Support to Russia
Oct 17, 2024, 08:09 PM
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced new sanctions targeting multiple entities linked to Russia and China. Specifically, these sanctions focus on Russian national Artem Yamshchikov and the affiliated Limited Liability Company Trading House Vector. Additionally, two Chinese companies, Xiamen Limbach Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd and Redlepus Vector Industry Shenzhen Co., Ltd, have been sanctioned for their involvement in producing military arms and goods intended for use by Russia in its ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This marks a significant escalation in U.S. efforts to counteract military support for Russia, as officials noted that it is the first instance of the U.S. sanctioning Chinese firms for direct military sales to Russia. The sanctions reflect growing concerns over Chinese entities aiding Russia's military operations amid the war in Ukraine.
