U.S. and Iraqi Forces Raid Kills 15 ISIS Operatives, Injures 6-7 U.S. Soldiers in Iraq

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, in partnership with Iraqi Security Forces, conducted a raid in the Anbar Governorate of Western Iraq on August 29. The operation resulted in the death of 15 ISIS operatives, including several leaders. The ISIS elements were armed with weapons, grenades, and explosive suicide belts. During the mission, at least six to seven U.S. soldiers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
