The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has temporarily closed after receiving specific intelligence of a potential significant air attack by Russia on November 20. The Embassy has urged U.S. citizens in Ukraine to identify nearby air raid shelters and be prepared to immediately seek shelter if air alerts are announced. Embassy employees have been instructed to shelter in place. The closure is a precautionary measure taken out of an abundance of caution amid reports of possible Russian aerial attacks, following Russia's vow to respond after Ukraine fired longer-range U.S. missiles at its territory.
