The United States has denied having any prior knowledge of Israel's recent strike in Beirut targeting Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. According to multiple senior U.S. officials and Pentagon spokespersons, including Sabrina Singh, the U.S. was neither informed nor involved in the operation. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as the operation was already underway. The Pentagon emphasized that the U.S. learned about the strike only after it had begun, refuting Israeli claims that the U.S. was notified beforehand.
