The incident, which occurred around 2:51 p.m. on Wednesday, was recorded by Jessica Pena from Corpus Christi, who witnessed the agent dragging the K9 to the side of the building and then kneeing it. The video sparked outrage and prompted a swift response from the U.S. Border Patrol, with Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez of the Rio Grande Valley Sector issuing a statement emphasizing the agency's commitment to the welfare of their K9 partners and condemning any mistreatment or abuse by handlers.
