Jan 1, 2025, 02:20 AM
Penn State tight end Tyler Warren caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Drew Allar, leading the Nittany Lions to a 24-14 victory over Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl. On the opening drive, Kaytron Allen rushed for 42 yards, setting up Allar's precise pass to Warren in the back corner of the end zone for a 7-0 lead. Allar then connected with Omari Evans on a 38-yard touchdown pass, extending the lead to 14-0 in the first quarter. Boise State narrowed the gap to 17-14 in the third quarter, but Warren's second touchdown reception, an acrobatic catch in the end zone, reestablished Penn State's two-score advantage. Warren finished with six catches for 63 yards and was named Offensive Player of the Game.
