Two migrants have died after their small boat encountered difficulties in the English Channel near Calais. The incident occurred as hundreds of others attempted to cross into UK waters. The Home Office confirmed the deaths, stating that the boat was in French waters at the time. French police are investigating the incident. Additionally, more than 703 migrants successfully crossed the Channel to the UK on Sunday in 11 boats, marking the highest number since Labour came to power.
