Two people, identified as Punnashray Sharma, a bank manager, and Viraj Trivedi, a cashier, died after their SUV became submerged in a waterlogged underpass in Old Faridabad, Haryana, on Friday night at around 11 pm. The incident occurred amid heavy rainfall. Despite police attempts to stop the vehicle, it continued at high speed and entered the flooded underpass. Both individuals were employees of HDFC Bank. The driver was reportedly in a drunken state at the time of the accident. The families of the victims have raised concerns about the lack of barricades at the underpass.
