Two Delta Air Lines employees were killed and another was injured when a tire exploded at the airline's maintenance facility at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The incident occurred at 5 a.m. during maintenance on a Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Delta confirmed the fatalities and stated that they are working with local authorities to investigate the cause of the explosion. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has also opened an investigation into the incident. The explosion reportedly happened while the tire was being removed from the aircraft.
