Nov 18, 2024, 06:09 PM
A man went on a stabbing spree across Manhattan on Monday morning, killing two people and critically injuring a third. The suspect, identified as Ramon Rivera, was taken into custody by the New York Police Department. The attacks appeared to be random and unprovoked, targeting random passersby. The victims included a 30-year-old man in Chelsea, a 67-year-old man in Kips Bay, and a woman near the United Nations building on East 42nd Street, who remains in critical condition. Rivera is a resident of the Bellevue Men’s Shelter and has a history of eight prior arrests in New York, including seven felonies and a pending case, as well as a criminal record in Florida.
