Türkiye's TPAO Secures Rights to Explore Oil and Gas in Three Offshore Blocks in Somalia

Türkiye has secured rights to explore for natural gas and oil in three offshore blocks within Somalia's territorial waters. The seismic research vessel MTA Oruç Reis is scheduled to depart for Somalia at the end of September to commence exploration activities. The Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) signed the contracts for the exploration, as confirmed by Turkey's Minister of Energy.
