Sep 18, 2024, 05:55 AM
Turkey has signed a 10-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal with France's TotalEnergies, beginning in 2027. The agreement entails the delivery of 16 LNG cargoes per year, totaling approximately 1.6 billion cubic meters of gas annually. This deal, announced at Gastech 2024 in Houston, aims to diversify Turkey's gas supply mix and enhance its energy security. TotalEnergies will supply 1.1 million tons of LNG per year to BOTAŞ, Turkey's state-owned crude oil and natural gas pipelines and trading company. The deal includes an option to redirect cargoes to Europe.
