Turkey's first domestically produced communications satellite, Türksat 6A, has successfully reached its permanent orbit at 42 degrees East. The satellite, launched on July 9, 2024, achieved this milestone after executing six maneuvers. Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu confirmed the successful deployment, stating that Türksat 6A will enter service in the first quarter of 2025. This development places Turkey among the 11 countries capable of developing their own communication satellites. The satellite is considered a significant achievement in Turkey's research and development efforts.
