Para athlete Amen Allah Tissaoui from Tunisia won the gold medal in the 1500m (T38) with a time of 4:12.91 on Saturday at the Stade de France during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, marking the country's fourth gold medal. Additionally, Tunisia's Wajdi Boukhili secured the gold medal in the marathon (T12) with a time of 2:22.05 on Sunday, bringing Tunisia's total medal count to 11, including 5 golds. Morocco's Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi smashed the world record by nearly 6 minutes in the women's marathon T12 for runners with visual impairments on the last day of the Paralympic Games, winning the first gold medal for Morocco at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
