VisitTTP Commander and IED Expert Atta Ullah Killed in Joint Operation in Swat

A commander of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the prime accused in targeting a convoy of a Diplomatic Mission in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been killed in a joint intelligence-based operation. The operation, conducted by Law Enforcement Agencies on the night of 4/5 October in Charbagh, Swat District, resulted in an intense fire exchange. Two khwarij, including the Kharji ring leader Atta Ullah, were killed. The commander was an IED expert involved in attacking the convoy. The operation involved the Pakistan Army and FC and was part of a broader effort to combat terrorism in the region.
