President Donald Trump is expected to pardon several pro-life activists imprisoned under the Biden administration's Department of Justice for violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, with the pardons anticipated within days. The activists include Lauren Handy, who was sentenced to 57 months in prison, John Hinshaw (21 months), Jonathan Darnell (34 months), and others, some of whom are in their 80s, including an 89-year-old concentration camp survivor and a Catholic priest. Senator Josh Hawley has urged President Trump to grant the pardons and spoke about the issue on the Senate floor, calling the prosecutions unjust and politically motivated. Vice President J.D. Vance is scheduled to speak at the annual March for Life rally tomorrow, where President Trump will address participants via video.
