VisitTrump's Border Czar Homan Announces Mass Deportations, Warns Sanctuary Cities of Prosecution and Funding Cuts
Nov 26, 2024, 07:27 PM
Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump's pick for "Border Czar," has announced plans for mass deportations of illegal immigrants and warned sanctuary cities that they could face prosecution or loss of federal funding if they refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Homan emphasized that "we have one hell of an Attorney General coming in" and cautioned officials not to "impede us" or "knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien from ICE," as it is a felony. He praised President Trump as "one badass president who secured this border to a level we've never seen before" and declared, "we're going to finish Trump's work." Homan noted that preparations are already underway and that they are "not waiting till January" to implement their plans. Meanwhile, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has vowed to resist the deportations, stating he is willing to be arrested to stop them. Trump's advisers are also discussing cutting federal funding from sanctuary cities like Chicago if they refuse to participate in deportations.
