VisitTrump Nominates AFPI President and Texan Brooke Rollins as Agriculture Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Brooke Rollins, president of the America First Policy Institute, to serve as the United States Secretary of Agriculture, completing his proposed slate of Cabinet secretaries. Rollins, a Texas native from Glen Rose who grew up in a farming family and participated in Future Farmers of America and 4H, previously served as a domestic policy adviser during Trump's first term, including roles as Director of the Domestic Policy Council and acting director of the Office of American Innovation. An attorney and advocate for rural Americans and farmers, she is expected to oversee the Department of Agriculture's farm and nutrition programs, food safety, rural development, and trade, managing a budget of $437.2 billion. Her nomination makes her the third Texan selected for Trump's cabinet.
