VisitTrump Leads Biden 48% to 42% in Latest Polls; 80% of Voters Cite Age Concerns
Jul 3, 2024, 07:22 PM
Former President Donald Trump has opened a 6-point lead over President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll. Trump leads Biden 48% to 42% among registered voters. The poll also reveals that 80% of voters believe Biden is too old to run for a second term. This sentiment has increased by 7 points since a similar poll conducted in February. A New York Times/Siena College poll also shows Trump leading Biden 49% to 43%, marking his largest lead in the survey since 2015. The polls reflect a growing concern among voters regarding Biden's age, which has been exacerbated by his recent debate performance. NYT/Siena Crosstabs reveal that white voters favor Trump 56-39%, black voters favor Biden 79-14%, and Hispanic voters are nearly split with Trump at 47% and Biden at 46%. Among white college-educated voters, Biden leads 54-40%, while Trump leads 67-28% among white voters without a college degree. Additionally, 87% of Biden's 2020 voters continue to support him.
