Trump Considers Rejoining WHO After Withdrawal, Cites Funding Imbalance

President Donald Trump has indicated that he may consider rejoining the World Health Organization (WHO), just days after signing an executive order to withdraw the U.S. from the organization. Speaking at a rally in Las Vegas, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the current funding imbalance, noting that the U.S. contributes $500 million annually to the WHO, while China, with a much larger population, pays only $39 million. Trump suggested that the WHO would need to undergo reforms before the U.S. would consider rejoining. The U.S. is scheduled to officially leave the WHO on January 22, 2026.
