Luke Meyer, a 24-year-old key staffer for the Trump campaign, was fired after it was revealed that he was a white nationalist. Meyer, who served as the regional field director for Western Pennsylvania for five months, operated online under the pseudonym Alberto Barbarossa. As Barbarossa, he co-hosted a podcast with Richard Spencer, known for organizing the 2017 white nationalist Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Trump campaign terminated Meyer’s employment after learning about his extremist views.
