President-elect Donald Trump has appointed former Congressman Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in his upcoming administration, according to reports. Zeldin, 44, a strong Trump loyalist, served four terms representing Long Island before running unsuccessfully for New York governor in 2022. In accepting the position, Zeldin stated, "We will restore U.S. energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry to bring back American jobs, make the United States energy independent, and eliminate unnecessary regulations."
