Jul 29, 2024, 03:07 PM
Former President Donald Trump has agreed to be interviewed by the FBI as part of the investigation into the July 13 assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The FBI's Pittsburgh Field Office is focused on uncovering the motive of the suspect, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who used aliases for firearms. FBI officials stated that the motive is still unclear and there is no evidence of co-conspirators. The FBI Deputy Director mentioned that Trump has agreed to participate in a victim's interview. The gunman had conducted Internet searches related to power plants, mass shooting events, and the attempted assassination of Slovakia’s prime minister earlier this year. One spectator was killed and two others were injured in the shooting.
