Tropical Storm Nadine made landfall near Belize City, Belize, at around 11 am CDT on Saturday, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and a central pressure of 1002 hPa. The storm brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to parts of Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, prompting tropical storm warnings in the region. The National Hurricane Center warned of potential flash flooding and mudslides due to the heavy rain. Nadine is the 14th named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season and marks the first tropical storm to make landfall in Belize in October since Richard in 2010.
