Tropical Storm Milton has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and is forecast to intensify into a major Category 3 hurricane before making landfall in Florida next week. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), the storm could bring life-threatening impacts, including torrential rain, flooding, and strong winds, particularly to Florida's west coast. The storm, which was initially designated as Tropical Depression 14, is expected to reach hurricane strength by early next week, with maximum sustained winds potentially reaching 115 mph. Forecasters predict that Milton will make landfall near Tampa on Wednesday.
