Totally Cool, Inc., a Maryland-based ice cream manufacturer, has issued a nationwide recall of over 60 ice cream products due to potential listeria contamination. The recall affects products sold under various popular brand names, including Hershey's, Friendly's, Jeni's, ChipWich, Dolcezza Gelato, Frozen Farmer, and Taharka Brothers. The contamination was detected at the company's facility in Owings Mills. The recall impacts ice cream cakes, sandwiches, pints, and other treats distributed through retail stores and home delivery across 25 states, including retailers like Walmart and Giant Eagle. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has posted a recall notice, urging consumers to check for affected products and avoid consumption due to the health risk posed by listeria monocytogenes.
